At peoplerank the trust by our members is absolutely essential - both trust in other members (everyone is simultaneously a reviewer, a reviewed member, and a reader) and trust in the platform itself. None of the data that we access, use or store is shared or sold to a third-party, excluding the tools the platform relies on (which are listed below).
Third-party tools
ClerkEstablished authentication provider that underpins the Google sign-in.
EdgeDBNew database application backed by top Silicon Valley VCs where we store all of the authentication and user-generated data.
GoogleSign-in provider through which we collect members’ name, surname and email address. This is necessary to verify people's identity.We use this to verify people's identity. The data are stored on our database EdgeDB. They are not shared to any other third-party.
PostHogAnalytics tool which we use to study how people interact with the platform and improve the user experience. It provides data on when people log in, from which device and location - data that we do not store on our database in any way.
OpenAIWe use ChatGPT through the API to analyse users' reviews and detect if they match the proposed criteria. No user information is shared with OpenAI.
